Biography of M. haddad lahcen
Dr. Lahcen Haddad was born in 1960 in Boujad. He is an international expert in strategic management, monitoring and evaluation, human development, entrepreneurship, democracy and governance and communication. His involvement in projects and studies of national and international importance endows him with a deep know how in diverse issues such as investment, social development, education and training, tourism, transportation, rural development, environment, social economy, the upgrading of enterprises and administrative reform etc. He developed his experience as a consultant for international organizations such as the World Bank, USAID, UNDP, JICA, GIZ, UNFPA as well as several Moroccan and foreign public institutions. In the private sector, he worked for several national and international companies (Kerr Mcgee, Coca Cola etc.).Earning a PhD degree from Indiana University, he held senior positions at Management Systems International, USAID, The American Labor Department, World Learning, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Al Akhwayn University, Naitech Consult and Mohamed V University. Lahcen Haddad has worked for the last ten years as Academic Director with the School of International Training in Vermont (USA). He is also a senior associate of Management Systems International (Washington DC, affiliate of Coffey International, Australia). His technical expertise was developed in relation to various domains including education, NGOs, rural development, democracy and governance, cultural tourism, agriculture, public administration, child labor, poverty alleviation, vocational training, housing, small and medium businesses, and higher education. Lahcen Haddad is also a political analyst with regular appearances on national and international TV channels, regular political analyses on radios, and publications in Moroccan and international media outlets. His publications in cultural studies, development studies, politics, management, communication, humanities and social sciences include books as well as articles in English, French, and Arabic. Very active in civil society, a member of several associations such as the CSSF, Tanmia.org and Boujad Sustainable Development (Boujad Développement Durable), he was designated to become a member of the National Observatory for Human Development.
