White beach

In the middle of the saharan dunes, facing the Canary Islands , the Plage Blanche a heavenly site, is inviting a real escape. At 250 km in the South of Agadir, near Guelmim and its airport, in an ecological park of 250 square metres dominated by the Kasbahs, we find 42 km of beaches and white sandy dunes which stretche as far as the eye can see.

The station owes its success to the aviators of the air-mail service who used to fly over this white ribbon.

Site
The site of the Plage Blanche, the new tourist station, is endowed with attractive sceneries, a natural and protected environment and a mild climate, favourable to seaside tourism throughout the year. Centred around an innovative concept of a seaside oasis, the Plage Blanche is the ideal site for a station of the last generation which respects environment.

Developer
Tenders were invited to select a developer on December, 15, 2006. Such an invitation to tender as regards the development of the Plage Blanche is due to be handed over bu 1 March 2007.

Program
24000 beds shoud be developed on the site of the Plage Blanche with about 12000 hotel beds.

The total amount of investment : 1 billion €
  Development: 70 million€;
  Direct investment: 0,4 billion €;
  Investment of other "promotors": 0,53 billion €;
  Investment concerning off-site infrastructures: 58 million €.

Key-dates :
  Convention signature: September 12, 2007;
  Launching of work : August 2008;
  Opening of the first hotel : 2012.

Stages/phases and length of the project :
   The seaside resort will be made up of four sectors covering a global length of 7 years.
