Launching of the first invitations to tenders of the Biladi plan
The launching of the Biladi plan, which provides for the creation of eight new integrated areas destined for domestic tourism, took place on July 4, 2007 in Casablanca.The first three areas, the subject of the first invitation to tenders and the development procedures followed, have been announced on that occasion. It is about Sidi Abed site (El Jadida), Imi Ouaddar site (Agadir) and that of Ifrane .
The Biladi plan, which is in line with the implementation of the "2010 Vision", provides for the realization of a capacity of 30 000 beds, that is 11 000 beds at horizontal and vertical hotel residences and 19000 beds in camping shared among eight new integrated tourist sites with an area going from 25 to 45 hectares situated in the eight regions which are considered as the most sought after by the national clientele ( Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier-Tetouan, Agadir, Rabat, El Jadida, Fez-Meknes and the Oriental region).
With a view to bringing this important building-site into fruition, the government has put in place an incentive system allowing the projects to come up with an attractive profitability and making sure that the investors have at their disposal eight sites with great tourist and natural potentialities.
