Regional Councils
Regional Councils
The Regional and Provincial Councils of Tourism will be created
in all regions or provinces. They will replace the existing
GRIT, within the framework of homogenized statutes, and they
will be submitted to the approval of the Administration pursuant
to legal provisions. The CRT or CPT will be made up of the
three following components, in proportions to be defined subsequently,
 The local administration, represented by the Wali (or the Governor), the external services of the administration and the regional delegates of tourism;
The regional representatives of the Regional Federations of Tourism, which are in their turn composed of the regional representatives of the sectorial associations;
The local elected representatives.
The CRT will be presided by the President of the Regional Federation of Tourism.
Missions
A Regional Council of Tourism has for missions:
1. To direct and to encourage the development of the activities of its members and to study ,for that purpose, the questions of a moral, economic, social , technical, financial, legal, fiscal, and customs nature…
2. To contribute to the development of the tourist industry within the framework of the general economy of the country;
3. To contribute, by all means, to the realization of the conditions likely to ensure a fast and harmonious development of tourism, notably by using the local savings, the attractive dimension of foreign funds, the formation of societies or national understanding, the regional planning, the choice of investments, the setting up of the necessary infrastructures, the elimination of the factors of underdevelopment and all deficiencies;
4. To give the public powers all consultative points of view concerning the new investments and tourist entertainment, in collaboration with the Regional Centres of Investments,
5. To work for the positioning of the region and its back country
- By the normalization of the product and its environment;
- By the promotion of the regional destination;
- By the development of the relations with the Tours Operators;
- By the development of the tourist activity;
6. To defend and to get among the authorities concerned, all the measures or particular provisions which may benefit the tourist industry;
7. To conduct all investigations, studies and statistics, to collect all information, to organize all advertisement, to take all initiatives, within the framework of the tourist industry, which are likely to facilitate its development or to solve its problems.
Due to the aforementioned effects, the CRT will be notably able to,
publish and distribute among its members all information by means of bulletins, circulars, booklets, directories or other types work;
acquire for a fee all types of building, movable property or real estate necessary for its administration and for the realization of its object.
- By the development of the tourist activity;
6. To defend and to get by the authorities concerned, all measures or particular arrangements whose tourist industry could benefit;
7. To conduct all investigations, study, statistics, to collect all information, to organize all advertisement, to take all initiative in the setting of the tourist industry which is able to facilitate its development or to solve its problems.
To the effects above the CRT will be notably able to:
- publish and distribute by its members all documentation by way of bulletins, circular, booklets, directories or works of all nature;
- acquire to costly title all building or other very movable or real estate necessary to its administration and to the realization of its object
