Training Modes

The apprenticeship/learning-based training

Instituted and organized by the law n° 12.00 of June,1, 2000, the apprenticeship/learning-based training is a training mode based on a practical training of at least 80% within an enterprise, completed with a theoritical training of at least 10% of this length.

It is organized within the framework of the conventions concluded with the Administration in charge of the training:

  •   By every chamber or professional organization ;
  •   By every public or private enterprise ;
  •   By every association created in accordance with the legislation in force ;
  •   By every professional training establishment which comes under the State or accredited by it for that   purpose ;
  •   By every public organization offering a qualifying training .

Objectives

To acquire a know-how from a professional activity which may allow the trainees to have a level of skills that facilitate their integration in the enterprises of hotel and tourist sector.

Target population

  •  To be at least over 15 years of age at the time of the conclusion of the apprenticeship contract, except   when there is a special dispensation granted by the governmental authority in charge of the professional   training.
  •  To fulfil the entrance conditions which are fixed by the regulations relating to each profession or   qualifications.

Length of training

The length of the apprenticeship-based training is fixed according to the diploma which is prepared. This length can't exceed 3 years.

The apprenticeship is governed by a contract concluded between the responsible of the "welcoming" enterprise and the trainee or his legal tutor. Such a mode of training is accredited by a Center of apprenticeship-based training. As far as the contract is concerned, it is defined by the rights and obligations of each party.
