Procedure relating to entry visa into Morocco
In accordance with the provisions of the law 02-03 of 11/11/2003 which requires, regarding the access to Morocco , a valid passport and a visa for the nationals of some countries, the Tourism Department has interceded with the authorities concerned to try to grant some dispensations for the tourist operators who plan to organise package tours towards Morocco. Such measures are drawn up to benefit the nationals who come from the countries where Morocco has a diplomatic or consular representation as well as countries which do not have any (representation).
The intervention of the Tourism Department is intended not to impair the efforts made as regards the promotion of the tourist sector. In other words, it is designed to urge the investors to get to Morocco , contributing thus to the strengthening of the tourist influx towards our destination.
Such dispensations are intended for:
- Groups of tourists of more than 8 persons (with different nationalities) who do not have any valid passport and whose trip is organised by means of the "voucher" system. These groups may get to Morocco on production of their national identity cards.
- Groups of tourists of more than 8 persons, nationals from countries which are subjected to the procedure of visa, having a valid passport and whose trip is made by means of the "voucher" system or through a tourist operator having a representation in Morocco . Concerning these groups, the entry-visa to Morocco may be granted at the customs posts on their arrival to Morocco .
- Tourists not travelling in a group, victims of a case of vis major and who may be looked after by a moral or physical entity in Morocco. Foreign investors may be granted the entry visa to Morocco on their arrival to the frontier post.
The groups of tourists who are interested in these encouraging measures should be supervised by a Moroccan person accredited by the Tourism Department and supposed to vouch for them.
