Tourism : signature in Rabat of a codicil to the framework convention between the State and « Aghouatim AL Baraka » company

A codicil to the framework convention on the realization of a tourist complex in Tamesloht, Marrakech, was signed on Wednesday, January 30, in Rabat between the Government and «Aghouatim AL Baraka» company (Alliance Development group).

This codicil signed by Mr. Ahmed Reda CHAMI, the Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, Mr Mohamed BOUSSAID, the Minister of Tourism and Handicraft, and Mr Alami LAZRAQ, the Managing Director of «Aghouatim AL Baraka», concerns the realization by the investment fund « Actif Invest » of the BMCE Bank group, of a part of a tourist program scheduled within the framework of the convention signed last July 18, relating to the realization of a hotel and residential complex at the town of Tamesloht.

It is about a holiday village whose welcome capacity will reach 2,944 beds instead of 1000 beds which were initially planned. The hotel and residential complex, which is the subject of the framework agreement, intends to reach a capacity of 8180 beds with an overall investment of 2,8 billion DHS.

During that signature ceremony, Mr. CHAMI put much emphasis on the importance of this convention in the promotion of tourism in the region of Marrakech, wishing that such a project could be implemented as soon as possible.
