Development of integrated tourist areas for National Tourism: THE BILADI PLAN
OFFERS' DEPOSIT FOR THE FIRST THREE STATIONS
On January 30 , 2008 (10: am), at the Ministry of Tourism and Handicraft, it was agreed to proceed with the deposit of offers concerning the first stations of the Biladi Plan , that is to say:
- Ifrane's station
- El Jadida's station (Sidi Abed)
- Agadir's station (Imi Ouaddar)
The list of candidates who have submitted offers as well as the list of stations concerned, are enumerated in chart below:

In accordance with the provisions of the selection regulations, an interministerial Committee will start holding meetings in order to assess the applications, and the announcement of results will be posted up within 6 weeks.
As a reminder, the Biladi Plan aims at creating 8 new tourist areas comprising products and presenting level of prices compatible with National Tourism, and which are located in Regions prized for this kind of tourism.
Besides the first 3 areas which have been launched, 5 others will follow in 2008, that is to say:
- Station region of the Oriental (Nador)
- Station region of the North (Tangier- Tetouan)
- Station region of Rabat-Sale-Elgharb
- Station region of the Grand Casablanca
- Station region of Marrakech
Each station will require an investment which may vary from 100 to 200 million DHS; it will permit the creation of 200 up to 500 direct jobs and it will market from 2000 to 5000 tourist beds divided into Hotel Residences and Camping grounds.
