Power transfer between Mr Yassir Znagui and Mr Mohamed Boussaid.

The power transfer ceremony between Mr Yassir Znagui appointed by HM the King Mohamed VI to the post of Minister of Tourism and Handicraft and his predecessor Mr Boussaid, took place last Tuesday in Rabat .

During this ceremony, Mr Yassir Znagui has expressed extreme satisfaction about the trust placed in him by the Sovereign, praising the efforts of his predecessor as regards the development of the tourism and handicraft sector, an industry which has witnessed a significant progress over the last few years.

“On the basis of this relevant strategic vision and its ambitious objectives, we will work together to promote tourism and handicraft sectors which constitute one of the major driving forces of the national economy” he said.

After reminding the audience of the global crisis which affects the economy of several countries all over the world, the new Minister has also called for further efforts to take up the challenge the tourism sector faces.

For his part, Mr Boussaid has congratulated his successor for the Royal trust placed in him, wishing him great success in his new mission.

Mr Boussaid has also made it clear that the tourism sector has known, thanks to the perspicacious vision of His Majesty Mohamed VI and the efforts made by the Minister, a qualitative take-off despite the financial global crisis.

Mr Anis Birou, the State Secretary in charge of Handicraft has also greeted the new Minister whishing him great success in his tasks, highlighting the professionalism and high competence of the new Minister, assets which will allow him to pursue the development actions of his predecessor.
