The 5 th Marrakech film festival

The 5 th Marrakech festival will be organized from 11 to 19 November, 2005 . During 9 days, five areas will host activities of this festival which is expected to realize its full potential by the originators.

Thanks to the participation of Martin Scorsese, Abbas Kiarostami , Monica Belluci and Rossy de Palma, the challenge seems to be taken up for this event which ventures joining the big leargue.

After paying tribute to the Moroccan cinema in 2004, by painting a panorama of this cinematography which covers a period of 40 years, the festival has chosen (this year) to accompany Morocco 's Year in Spain .

This 5 th Marrakech film festival will pay a particular tribute to the spanish cinema for "the diversity of its heritage and the creativity of its authors".
24 films projected, all sections taken together, 3 tributes, the complete Abbas Kiarostami film collection, that is the program perceived by the organizing committee of the 5 th Marrakech film festival. Let's note in passing that the competition is fierce between different festivals to get hold of the best productions and more particularly of the top of the bill.
