Cooperation in the field of Tourism between Morocco and Serbia

During a meeting between Mr. Hassan Kacimi, the General Secretary of Tourism Department and Mrs Gordana Todic, the Secretary of State for Tourism, the two parties have decided to promote the tourist destinations of both countries through Moroccan and Serbian travel agencies. The parties have also expressed their wish to sign an agreement in the field of tourism in order to capitalize on the experiences of tourism development in both countries.

Mr Kacimi has pointed out that Tourism Department is delighted to establish a moroccan-serbian agreement that will encourage cooperation in the field of tourism, adding that the sectors of the two countries will analyse the opportunities offered by such activities.

He has also urged the partners concerned to increase contacts between professionals of tourism of the two countries and to take advantage of the mutual experiences in this field.

For her part, Mrs Todic has described Serbia 's tourist assets, pointing out that her country has undertaken promotional actions in the tourism sector, an industry which had known a period of stagnation during the war (15 years).

She has also indicated that her country has just set up a strategy in order to promote the tourist product, adding that Serbia has shown a marked increase thanks to tourist receipts.
