Draft agreement signature for the tourist development of the M'diq-Fnideq Coast
TFurther to the presentation to His Majesty the King, Mohammed VI, on September 5,2005 of the Tourist Development Plan of the M'diq-Fnideq coast, an action plan has been elaborated by the Tourism Department, in close cooperation with all the actors and the local authorities involved in the implementation of this Plan.
For that purpose, Draft-agreements relating to the achievement of this action plan (in its product component), have been signed by Mr Adil Douiri, Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy; Mr Abderrahmane Chaoui, Director of the State-owned Land and Property; Mr Mohamed Yacoubi, the governor of M'diq-Fnideq; Mr Mustapha Bakkoury, Managing Director of the "Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion"; and Mr Omar Kabbaj, President- Managing Director of the Interedec Holding Company.
Concerning this product constituent, a tourist program will be developed by the CDG and INTEREDEC, which consists of the creation by the year 2008-2009 of modern seaside hotel units of a capacity of about 5000 beds. Such units will be managed by professional operators who have at their disposal marketing circuits. This constituent is also centered around the development (on the coast), of a tourist area of 14 ha(a golf course of 18 holes, residential areas, entertainment.).
