The third Fez Culinary Arts Festival
Fez , the cultural and spiritual capital of the Kingdom, opened its great walls on April, 28, 2006 in order to welcome the third " Fez culinary Arts Festival".
Organized under the high patronage of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI by the "Spirit of Fez" foundation and the tourism regional council, this third edition is managed by Mrs Fatema Hal, a great world-famous gastronome of moroccan origin; bringing together chefs of world renown, lecturers and representatives of moroccan and foreign media.
During the opening session of this event which was initiated from 28 th to 30 th April 2006, under the theme " the cuisine of links", Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy, praised this kind of initiative launched by the local authorities and different partners so as Fez might find its fair position.
This new edition is run by Mrs Fatema Hal who has managed, for a long time, to improve relations not only between different culinary arts of the world but also between the inspired authors attending such a culinary panel.
The "Spirit of Fez" foundation aims to arouse again a feeling of interest in this mythical and age-old city, the Heiress to a long tradition, and more particularly to this golden and Andalusian age which has, in its turn, managed to improve relations between cultures and religions.
