Agadir hosts the 4 th National Meetings on Tourism
The National Meetings on Tourism were held in Agadir -December 9 th - 10 th , 2006. They were announced jointly by Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy and Mr Jalil Benabes-Taarji, the President of the National Federation of Tourism during a press briefing which took place on Friday, December 1, 2006 in Casablanca .
The 4 th National Meetings on Tourism were an opportunity for the private sector and the public authorities of Tourism to elaborate a detailed Balance-Sheet of the "2010 Vision" at the end of 2006, and to draw up jointly the "2007 Agenda"
Two major topical questions were tackled during those National Meetings on Tourism: the Professional Training and the consolidation of the present Institutional 'Pilotage' system, at national and regional level.
A third topic was discussed during that edition; it is to do with the concept of Responsible Tourism for which a National Committee was created last September under the presidency of the Ministry of supervision.
A workshop was organized to deal with "Responsible Tourism" during which the Charter, the Guide and the Label, relating to the "CMTR" were presented. That workshop was followed by a press conference organized by the President of the National Federation of Tourism and the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy.
