Official launching of the
development work of Taghazout's tourist seaside resort
On Monday, January 15, 2007, Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy marked the start of the development work
of the first stage of Taghazout's project (5 th station of the Azur Plan, granted in May 2006 to Colony Capital/Satocan/Lopesan group.
Being endowed with an area of about 620 ha , Taghazout's integrated station, a destination of high standing, will be equipped with hotel structures, residential properties, sports equipment, entertainment and leisure. This program, which is spread
out over four stages, is based on the creation of a seaside resort, with a global capacity of 15.000 hotel beds.
Taghazout's station will offer also some attendant equipments and varied leisure materials. Besides the station's development work, the Group will be responsible for the construction program of the super-structures, a program which will comprise two golf courses (36 holes on the whole), the Medina, some hotel units as well as guests' houses and apartments, with a capacity of more than 6800 beds and some residential units with a global capacity of 4515 beds.
