The Regional Council of Tourism (CRT) signs two partnership conventions with the Council of the Region and the ONMT

On Friday, February 9, Marrakech Regional Council of Tourism (CRT) signed two partnership conventions with the Council of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region and the Moroccan National Office of Tourism (ONMT), in the presence mainly of Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy.

These agreements, which are based on the promotion and tourist development of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region, are meant to be the illustration of a participative approach involving all the intervening parties from the public and private sector.

They are part of the consultation approach adopted by the town's CRT as a federal organization of direct and indirect actors of the tourist sector; an approach which is manifested in the putting in place of a certain number of partnership conventions with all the institutionals of the sector.

In this respect, Marrakech's CRT plans to put in place, in the course of the year, other partnerships which are likely to contribute to the development of the product's niches which generate high income such as golf, ecotourism or else business tourism.

Concerning the convention concluded between the CRT and the Council of Marrakech-Tensift-Al-Haouz region, it is centred on the promotion of regional tourism, the putting in place of a regional development plan (PDR) and the promotion of the back country of the ochre city.

With a global cost of the order of 3 million DH, this convention is supposed to last one year (one-year convention).

The second partnership convention concluded by the CRT, in consultation with the ONMT, is also about the promotion of regional tourism and entertainment in the town, and that is all thanks to a budget in the order of 8 million DH, including 3,5 million DH devoted to the festivals.
