Launching of the work of a tourist project in Marrakech
On Friday, February 9, 2007, Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy undertook to lay the foundation stone
for the construction of a French tourist project in Marrakech,
with a global investment of the order of 450 million DH.
Called "Fouquet's Barrière Marrakech", this project which stretches over an area of about 22.000 square metres , is the first investment of the French Group, "Lucien Barrière", outside the French territory. Such a project will comprise, among others, a luxury hotel with 86 suites, a restaurant, a swimming- pool, a Kid's Club, a SPA of 1.000 square metres as well as 30 prestigious Riyads. It will open in spring 2008.
