Balance- sheet of the Azur Plan
On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy presented the balance sheet of the Azur Plan.
During a meeting with the press, in the presence of the Developers of the five tourist stations granted within the Framework of the Azur Plan, a balance sheet concerning the progress of the building- sites of these seaside resorts has been drawn up.
The Minister has emphasized the importance of the reinforcement of the hotel welcome capacity which constitutes the cornerstone of the Azur Plan.
The latter which comprises the new tourist stations of Saidia , Lixus port in Larache, Mogador in Essaouira, Mazagan in El Jadida and Taghazout in Agadir.
He has assured the participants that the present rhythm, concerning the creation annually of 10.000 new
hotel beds , will be doubled and the apartments-hotels capacity will reach 20.000 beds annually within the Azur Plan.
The Developers have also expressed their satisfaction about the progress of the project as well as about their relations with the Moroccan Administration.
