Institution of the technical committee of standardization of tourism and other relevant services within the Tourism Department

On February 2007, Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy and Mr Salaheddine Mezouar, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and the Upgrading of Economy, signed a framework Convention between the Department of Moroccan Industrial Standardization (SNIMA), and the Tourism Department, ensuring the "secretariat" of the Technical Committee of Standardization dedicated to Tourism and other Services concerned and instituted within the Direction of Enterprises and Tourist Activities.

This committee aims to establish and to update the program of standardization relating to the quality of the tourism sector.
