The Conclusions Statement of the first session of the Moroccan-Turkish joint committee was signed on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in Rabat by Mr Adil Douiri, the Minister of Tourism, Handicraft and Social Economy and Mr Atilla Koç, the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism who is in a work visit to Morocco, at the head of an important Turkish delegation.

This Statement intends to reinforce the tourist flows between Morocco and Turkey . It is also about the encouragement of cooperation between the travel agencies and tourist operators of both countries, the promotion of the tourist investment and the development of mutual exchanges in the field of experts and experiences.

The Moroccan-Turkish cooperation is governed by the provisions of the cooperation Agreement which was concluded between the two countries on August, 27, 1992. With the objective of revitalizing the tourist relations, it was agreed, during different sessions of the multisectorial joint committees held in Rabat and Ankara , to gather the joint Committee of tourism, as is stipulated in the tourist Agreement. This first meeting derives from the minutes of the 8 th session of the Moroccan-Turkish joint economic committee which was held in Ankara in April 2004.
