Promotion in the Netherlands of the assets of Morocco as a golfing destination
The Delegation of the Moroccan National Office of (ONMT) for the Benelux countries takes part in the 88 th edition of KLM Open of Golf which will be held on the 23 at August 26 in the Netherlands .
Morocco will be present through a stand of 18 m2 which will accommodate six hotels ( Jnan Palace and the Royal Golf of Fez, the Palmeraie Golf Palace and Sofitel Marrakech, Atlantic Palace and Tikida Hotel Agadir).
Founded in 1912 and regarded as one of the most prestigious sporting events in Europe , this tournament will be the occasion for the professionals of the national tourism to promote the Moroccan assets as a golfing destination.
It will be also the occasion to hold some workshops with the tour operators and the specialized press and get in touch with the great Dutch citizen.
Therefore, it is a question of capturing more and more Moroccan golfers who are estimated to be at approximately 100.000 players and an average of 40.000 golfing tourists per year.
Some 45.000 visitors are awaited in this tournament, which will take place in Kennemer at the edge of the North Sea, with the participation of several countries of which Tunisia , Spain , Italy , France , Ireland and Scotland .
