His Majesty the King presides over the signature conventions relating to the tourist and industrial sectors for an amount of 30 billion DH
On Wednesday September 12, His Majesty the King Mohammed VI presided over the signature ceremony of four partnership conventions relating to the tourist sector in the royal Palace of Casablanca .
These conventions concern the development of complexes and hotel units as well as some tourist resorts and residences (4 conventions) for an investment of 27,92 billion DH.
The first convention concerns the development of Ouarzazate's tourist resort for an investment of 5, 4 billion DH. This important project will be realized through the partnership between the Moroccan Bank of Foreign Trade (BMCE Bank) and the following two groups: the Belgian group "Thomas & Piron" and the Moroccan one "Palmeraie de Marrakech".
This project, which will generate 2000 jobs, is centred around the construction of 8 hotel units with a capacity of 3700 beds, a golf circuit, a convention center, a fitness center, an aquapark, a Medina and a city center Medina .
The second convention relating to the development of Oued Chbeika's tourist resort in Tan-Tan, entrusted to the Egyptian group "Orascom", requires a budget of 6 billion DH and it will contribute to the creation of 2500 jobs.
It consists of the establishment of some hotel units with a capacity of 5000 beds, of residences (1851 units), sports and ludic infrastructures (conference center, museums, restaurants and a sports center).
The third convention, with an overall investment of 10 billion DH, concerns the in- site development of the "Plage Blanche" seaside resort in Guelmim by the Spanish group "Fadesa-Martinsa". This project, which will generate 10.000 jobs, revolves around the realization of a development program made up of 8 hotels, 8 units of tourist property residences, 2 golf courses, a fitness center, a shopping center, a Medina of arts and riads, a nautical club as well as some leisure infrastructures.
The signature of a framework agreement with the Emirati group, "Reem-Investments", has also been carried out with an overall amount of 6,5 billion DH. It concerns the building of an integrated tourist complex " Atlas Garden " in Marrakech. This project, which will contribute to the creation of 6500 jobs, concerns the realization of 3 hotels with a capacity of 2540 beds, a golf course of 18 holes and a property complex of 11000 beds.
