Mr Mohamed Boussaid : the cooperation between the State and the professionals, a guarantee of the tourism development
Mr Mohamed Boussaid, the Minister of Tourism and Handicraft, declared , on Friday November 23, in Marrakech, that the guarantee of the tourism development for the coming years requires a mobilization of all of us as well as a constant cooperation between the State and the professionals.
During a meeting with the national and regional professionals of the sector, he has emphasized that “ this requires different actors concerned to remain vigilant, to be always ready to listen to one another, and to unite their efforts with a view to allowing this sector to play fully its role and to permitting the general tourist policy to preserve its consistency”.
From this perspective, the Minister has let it be known that among the priorities of his Department are the accomplishment and acceleration of the projects undertaken within the framework of the 2010 Vision, the promotion of a professional training oriented towards quality, the improvement of the environment of tourism and a better organization of the relevant trade.
While referring to the 2020 Vision of national tourism, Mr Boussaid has pointed out that the study which will be elaborated in 2008 by the Tourism Department revolves around three major axes, namely the assessment of the 2010 Vision, a building of the tourist offer and the examination of the future of tourism in Marrakech. He has concluded that “the results achieved by the tourist sector in Marrakech allow (us) to turn this city into a real brand as well as an exceptional product”.
Nevertheless, the Minister has pointed out that Marrakech must be accompanied over several major axes for the tourism development, through in particular, the strengthening of the security of tourists and their precious possession, the encouragement to employment in the sector, the improvement of cultural entertainment and the reinforcement of infrastructure relating to health.
