“ TOP Resa” trade show: prize-giving for
‘ Morocco 's Experts' operation
On Wednesday, September 17 th , Mr Mohamed Boussaid, the Minister of Tourism and Handicraft, presided over the prize-giving ceremony for “Morocco's Experts” operation in Paris, launched at the beginning of May and dedicated exclusively to the travel agencies in France.
This ceremony took place alongside the 30 th edition of TOP Resa trade-show of tourism and travel industry, organised from 16 th to 19 th of September, with a high level of Moroccan participation.
Initiated by the National Moroccan Office of Tourism (ONMT), the aim of this operation is to strengthen Morocco destination in France at the level of the distribution market (tour operators and travel agencies) and to turn the travel agents into real Experts/advisers of the Kingdom.
With a view to making such an operation successful, the ONMT has put at the disposal of the French travel agents some online training tools in order to better know Morocco product and its novelties.
“Morocco's Experts” revolve around an ambitious program aiming at the recruitment of travel agents, with the objective of establishing a special relation, highlighting the prescriber's role of these agents, generating traffic towards all the partner agencies involved in this operation, stimulating the sales of Morocco packages in the distribution market and putting at the disposal of the travel agents some efficient sales talk which may allow them to promote Morocco destination.
This operation, conducted by the Royal Air Maroc (RAM), has covered the whole networks (TO, big distribution and independent agencies).
The Prizes have been awarded to 21 travel agencies, selected among the 1500 ones having participated in the Challenge of “the best Morocco seller” from March 10 th to June 10 th throughout France , all networks taken together.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Managing Director of the ONMT, the commercial Managing Director of the RAM as well as Moroccan and French tourism professionals.
