Geographic location
The territory is located on the north coast of the Atlantic. It is bounded in the North by the Cape North territory and in the South by the Marrakech Atlantic territory, in the east by the Atlas valleys territories and Morocco Center and in the west by the Atlantic Ocean. The territory covers an area of 46 298 km2, which can be converted to 6.5% of the area of the Kingdom.

Territory’s positioning

The business and leisure coast will add a certain value to the economic attractiveness of the Central Atlantic region, it will add a cultural and leisure offer as well for business travelers and for domestic tourism by developing a strong complementarity between:
• Casablanca & Surroundings : Business and leisure
• Rabat & Surroundings: The green capital
• El Jadida & Surroundings : the escapade
The growth of tourism in this territory will be structured around three themes:
• Continue the development of the required offer to support the business tourism
• Structure and market two thematic city break offers: golf and leisure in El Jadida, and golf and Culture in Rabat
• Strengthen the position of the territory around the  MICE, with a focus for Casablanca on national shows
Territory’s resources
Located along the northern part of Morocco's Atlantic coast, the Central Atlantic territory has a natural, rich and diverse culture and History.Historical and cultural resources of the territory include many medinas, mosques, forts, ruins of historical interest, as well as Archaeological remains and kasbahs. The landscapes of the territory mainly consist of long beaches, numerous valleys and rural routes, vast areas of forest in the hinterland, mineral springs, waterfalls and lakes.

Goals 2020
• 3.8 million tourist arrivals (against 2.8 million in 2010)
• Additional bedding capacity of 12,500 beds in order to reach 39,300 beds (hotel and similar)
• Creation of 63,700 direct jobs
• 24,190 million DH in tourism revenue (against 13.590 million dirhams in 2010)
Ambition of territorial development
• The territory will benefit from an offer of accommodation adapted to three main targets: the city break (charming accommodation, retraining fondouks), MICE (city hotels and resorts golfing) and domestic tourism (Biladi stations).
• The establishment of a world-class entertainment offering, in order to extend business trips and to encourage city breaks, With, among others, the valuation of the medinas of heritage, Art Deco buildings, the enrichment of the golfing offer, and the creation of an equestrian center on the site of El Jadida.
• The development of an integrated nature offers at the water points as well as a rural boutique accommodation offer that will enrich the hinterland.
• The rehabilitation and enhancement of monuments and cultural sites.Routes with clear and harmonious directions are expected in order to facilitate the understanding and the commutation of the public. Tourist places of convergence with appropriate landscaping will also be created (e.g squares, pedestrian areas, etc.).
The expected customer base in this area is composed of three segments:
• Conformist Adventurers are adults looking to discover new destinations and cultures, who prefer activities rather than relaxation, but go rarely outside the beaten path;
• Luxury weanlings are the segment of the most experienced travelers, who are strongly oriented towards the discovery and exploration, and who prefer to visit the emerging countries;
• Seniors looking for Adventures are seniors who attach great importance to traveling, and who want to "catch up" by discovering new countries, cultures and natures.
